Talking points: Sangria is a traditional beverage most closely associated with Spain and Spanish restaurants. Sangria can be based on either red or white wine. The Claudio is based on red wine.
Tasting notes: This juicy red Sangria is light, fruity and refreshing with a touch of sweetness.
Serving suggestions: Although refreshing right out of the bottle, it can be “kicked-up” by adding 3 or 4 ounces of dry red wine, 3 ounces of Triple Sec or white Curacao (Grand Marnier or Cointreau would be a more flavorful and softer substitute), the juice of one lemon or lime (your choice) and fresh fruit, particularly orange slices. Some upscale Mexican restaurants add a few pinches of cinnamon for interest.
